Advocates for the Whole Child is an educational advocacy agency that provides consulting and advocacy services to families navigating the special education system. Our advocates are experienced educators with many years of teaching experience across K–college levels and a strong background working directly with children and young adults. The agency operates as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) and is dedicated to supporting parents in securing appropriate educational services for their children within public school systems.

About

Kimberly M. Cooke

I am a Special Education Teacher with 15+ years of experience. Having sat on all sides of the table—as a parent, special education teacher, and advocate—I bring a unique perspective and deep understanding of the process.

Over the years, I’ve developed strong working relationships with district staff and know how to collaborate effectively as part of the IEP team. My goal is always to work with schools to brainstorm solutions, build individualized education plans that fit each child, and achieve the best possible outcomes for students and families.

Parents describe my approach as calm, honest, and practical. I walk alongside families through every step of their journey in special education, offering expertise, energy, and—most importantly—hope.
If you are a parent seeking guidance or collaboration, I’d love to connect.
